Open for business

Following the success of No1 and N08, the latest commercial office development to complete is the 130,000 sq ft Manchester Hub for the Government Property Agency (GPA) who will occupy the entire building.

Inspired by the ‘winter gardens’ these offices benefit from weatherproof corner gardens which will be used as alternative working environments or collaborative breakout areas. These stunning spaces will breathe life into the building by offering a window onto the city and into the First Street environment, and importantly as healthy and attractive interior spaces for the people who work here.

The GPA is now undertaking their office fit out which will see 2,600 staff move to First Street later this year.

And with only two development plots remaining we are on track to make good on our commitment to accelerate the delivery of the First Street masterplan.

First Street’s Next Chapter in Living

Already home to some of Manchester’s finest student accommodation at Vita, our residential community has been further enhanced by the completion of their new concept called House of Social, which has created the next high-quality residential building for Manchester’s expanding student population which includes a vibrant, relaxed food hall at ground level which is open for everyone to enjoy.

Square Gardens, Downing’s co-living scheme is also now completed which has boosted the residential population hugely with over 2,700 people now living in the First Street neighbourhood, providing a whole range of options for students and young professionals wanting a city centre lifestyle.
